Rachel Gmach, PT, DPT, COMT, PYT-c started her career as a shiatsu and massage therapist, eventually opening her own practice in South Minneapolis, focusing on Eastern and Western therapies. In search of more ways to help people out of pain, she returned to school and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from St. Catherine University in her home state of Minnesota. A learner at heart, Rachel is currently studying under John Barnes, PT for Myofascial Release. Additionally, she is a dry needling specialist and earned her manual therapist certification from the Maitland Physiotherapy in 2018. Rachel will complete her training under Dr. Ginger Garner PT, DPT, ATC/L in Medical Therapeutic Yoga this Spring of 2021.
Rachel has a multifaceted approach to physical therapy with an emphasis on the whole person, utilizing the pentagon of wellness. Through her own journey with chronic pain, Rachel understands that every individual she treats has a unique story and requires a unique treatment plan. She now enjoys an active, pain-free lifestyle and enjoys helping others achieve the same.
As a former competitive dancer, Rachel loves staying active and enjoys a daily yoga practice, paddle boarding, rock climbing, and walking or hiking with her rescue dogs.
