Rachel Gorman PT, DPT, OCS, PYT-c, graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, followed by her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Western Carolina University. Rachel completed the Orthopedic Residency program through Evidence In Motion and became a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2017.
Rachel has a strong interest in integrative medicine and has studied Medical Therapeutic Yoga through the Professional Yoga Therapy Institute. She enjoys using a combination of manual therapy, trigger point dry needling, and Medical Therapeutic Yoga to address a wide variety of orthopedic issues. Rachel is recognized as an Orthopedic Specialist, and has multiple certifications including medical therapeutic yoga and dry needling, began practicing JFB-MFR therapy in 2019.
Since coming to Roper PT, Rachel has been a guest speaker at several small-mid level corporations on topics in the workplace, including adapting healthy habits, ergonomics, and Medical Therapeutic Yoga (MTY) intervention. She is a lead MTY instructor for Roper Physical Therapy’s corporate accounts.
Rachel has two daughters, who also share her love for yoga. She enjoys being active, traveling, and spending time with her family, including her husband and their German Shorthaired Pointer named Kona.
